This Policy explains how Power System Lab at powersystemlab.com, operated by Oleksandr Petryk, handles personal information when you create an account and use the engineering simulation platform.
1. Information we collect
- Account details such as your name and email address.
- A securely derived password hash and salt; the service does not store your readable password.
- Essential session information used to keep you signed in and protect your account.
- The version and time of your acceptance of the Terms and Privacy Policy.
- Your optional email-update preference and the time it was given or withdrawn.
- Technical and usage information that may be needed for security, diagnostics and improvement of the service.
2. How we use information
We use information to create and secure accounts, provide simulator access, remember preferences, prevent abuse, diagnose problems, improve the platform and comply with legal obligations. Transactional account or security messages may still be sent when necessary to operate your account.
3. Optional product emails
Product news and simulator updates are optional. The registration checkbox is not selected by default, and creating an account does not require marketing consent. If you opt in, each marketing email will provide a clear way to unsubscribe. After you withdraw consent, we will stop marketing emails while retaining only the minimum record needed to honor your choice.
4. Storage, sharing and security
Account data is stored using the platform’s hosted database and service providers needed to operate Power System Lab. We do not sell personal information. Information may be disclosed when required by law, to protect the service and users, or to vendors processing data under appropriate instructions and safeguards. Reasonable technical and organizational measures are used, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
5. Retention
Information is kept only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, including account operation, security, dispute resolution and legal compliance. Records of withdrawn email consent may be retained so that the unsubscribe request remains effective.
6. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or export personal information, and to object to or withdraw certain processing. You may withdraw optional email consent at any time without affecting your account. Requests can be made through the official contact method published on powersystemlab.com.
7. Essential cookies
The platform uses an essential session cookie to authenticate your account. It is required for signed-in features and is not used as advertising consent.
8. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy as the platform develops or legal requirements change. The effective date and version will be updated, and material changes will be communicated where appropriate.
